Whitelist is a great security tool created by HitBTC developers. This is a list of addresses to which you allow withdrawals from your account. It will be impossible to withdraw your funds to a foreign, not whitelisted address.
How to start using Whitelist
To start using Whitelist, you should enable it and set it up. Open the Settings, Whitelist tab. Hit “Enable Whitelist” and confirm this action via email.
Now you have 12 hours to add all desired addresses to the Whitelist.
Note: if during these 12 hours you add a second address for the same cryptocurrency, your withdrawals will be automatically suspended for 48 hours: this is a security measure.
After the 12 hours are over, your Whitelist in its current state will be enabled and locked, and you will be able to withdraw your coins to the whitelisted addresses only. Remember that even whitelisted withdrawals require email confirmation.

How to add an address to the enabled Whitelist
You can add a new address to your Whitelist at any time. Go to Settings, Whitelist and click the “Add New” button. Choose the coin ticker, enter a custom name and correct address and click “Confirm.”
Note: if you are going to use a Payment ID together with the address, you need to add it to the corresponding field as well.
This action needs to be confirmed by clicking a link in the email notification you will receive right away.

How to disable the Whitelist
Click the “Disable Whitelist” button on your Settings page, Whitelist tab, and confirm this action via email.

Important: You will not be able to withdraw your funds in the following situations:
- You are trying to withdraw your funds to an address that has not been added to the Whitelist.
- You have disabled the Whitelist less than 48 hours ago.
- You have added a new address to the Whitelist less than 48 hours ago.
- You have added a second address for the same coin during the first 12 hours after enabling the Whitelist.

Attention: If you see an email with a confirmation link for any action related to the Whitelist, even though you have not initiated any action, the most likely explanation is that your HitBTC account has been compromised.
However, with the Whitelist enabled, you have at least 48 hours to contact us here.
